Craftsman Capital seeking investments after pandemic pause, finishes first exit

Dallas private equity firm Craftsman Capital completed its first exit and is searching for investment opportunities after taking a hiatus due to the pandemic.

The firm recently received the final exit funds from its sale and worked through some snags in its portfolio companies caused by the pandemic, said Co-Founder and Partner Will Walters. The independent-sponsor-model firm is back to looking for new investments, after a two-year pause. Craftsman, founded in 2014 by Partners Walters, Paul Thompson and Barrett Dean, invests in lower-middle-market companies across several industries.
